As the subject ever so aptly states, this journal is now closed.

My new journal can be found here. If you're not on the friends list and feel you quite rightly should be leave me a comment on the one entry that is public.
Whether you want to keep this journal on your friends list or not is purely up to you. I will come by from time to time and see what's going on with my info page though I won't be updating it or anything so that it matches Alegrya.

Eventually all Soulwatcher entries will be converted to 'friends only' if any of you know of a quick way to do this then please enlighten me :)

Else I'll conclude by welcoming you all to my new journal as I close one of the last remaining Soulwatcher chapters and strengthen the Alegrya name to now include my online journal also. It's been fun, here's to many more years of livejournalling with my new account.

Karen flies out of Australia, to return at a time yet unknown, tomorrow. I have a feeling I'm going to cry (or come very close to it) when I call her in the morning. I know I'm going to miss her so very much and it won't really hit for a while because I'm so busy this week. Took some pics tonight of us siblings and I'll post them on my Flickr and Facebook over the next couple of days

In the same way she's excited, so am I excited about my not-so-big holiday coming up this weekend. My thoughts are in so many places but overall I think I'll just say I'm pretty excited and very much looking forward to the trip and all that it might hold for me. I should be getting to bed, huge day tomorrow which will conclude with meeting up with friends at AFK following picking up new clothes and having my hair done. I can't wait to see more friendly faces :)

I've registered for the AFK lockin on the 28th of July, it should be fun if the previous was anything to go by. Who else out of you guys is planning to come along?

I've also finally bit the bullet and sent off my cv to the other person who's been asking me for it. Who knows what will come out of it. Any experience is good right...

And in the latest net-related news I finally put a pic on my facebook *cheers* I'm not entirely happy with it, but I daresay more pics of me looking better will be taken soonish and I'll substitute them around. If only I could photoshop myself.... alas I fail at imagine editing :P On the other hand I did find the myspace pages of Karen and Andrew, fear not, I'll not be getting one of those for myself. I've got enough stuff to look after.

Sometime this week I'll be moving to my new blog, I haven't had the time I'd have liked to get it all shiny, but I'll start using it anyway and I can always further customise later. When I actually switch over I'll do a mass friends add, keep your eyes out for it.

Since it's decided to become winter again in Brisbane this evening I'm going to head to bed. I love the cold, not complaining at all.

I've been layout, FO Banner and icon shopping tonight - if you have any favourite communities/sites for these comment with them and I'll check them out. I discovered Fantasy Design which has some of the most beautiful stuff I've seen in a while. Trawling through the archives I found this icon which aside from being really cute and a very true reflection of myself (I'm such the daydreamer) is also part of the new set. Emma after what we were talking about today you might want to nab and credit the icon too ; )  What's going on you may ask? ..... all will be revealed in due time. The astute among you may already have an inkling. The changeover will occur when the customising has been complete :)

I finally got to the Post Office and mailed off Della and David's package; you should have it by the end of the week. Also need to finish a letter off because I've been hell busy which is really no excuse, I haven't moved countries or anything near that exciting (sorry Ebony, I'll make it a long one to make up for delay). I've worked out that flights make for great letter writing time - you're stuck in a seat with a table right in front of you and the most calming view above earth (if you score the window seat).

Guess I should work towards getting some sleep now though, so much for an early night. It's too easy to stay awake far longer than I plan to when I sit in bed with my laptop and listen to the rain outside.

PT was cancelled tonight due to a mix-up where somebody thought I had called in sick and therefore cancelled my appointment. It wasn't me, but the question is who's not going to show this week due to having tonsillitis? Getting over the irritation of not having training, I did some weights and cardio.  5mins of interval running (7.5km/hr - 9.5km/hr) and I felt fine, I might up it to 7.5mins next time and see how I fare. Also 10mins on bike which was originally 15 but stopped early due to some sharp pain in my knee so stretched and finished up.

Yup, I knew it was rocking at the moment. Here's a web meme for... ah.... proof.... of sorts. Just a quick post tonight, need to add to the 4 hours sleep I had between now and getting home this morning before work tomorrow.

Take the Rate My Life Quiz

Interesting that's for sure. While I wouldn't completely agree with all the results, overall it looks about right. If you rate your own life have a read through the explanations of what each area represents according to how the quiz worked it out. Just a bit of fun for a Sunday evening, I don't need a quiz to tell me how much life rocks for me currently :)

I've been looking through these for the last hour or so and I must say I'm highly amused..... or it could just be that it's nearly 5am and I'm still wide awake.

Here's a few of my favourites:
What's a little scary is that I had something similar to the last one happen in a sharehouse (sans the note) when there were just 4 people living there.

Time to find something else to snicker at I think. I do like how the giggling is keeping me somewhat awake :)

Ok tonight has already been the best relaxed fun I've had in ages with some very good company. Earlier today was great too, seeing a lot of people I haven't seen in way too long. I'm glad that everybody seemed to have a great day. I need to catch up with people more often, it was great having a big chat with Peter about stuff. I miss a lot of the people from uni that I don't see anymore because I'm not studying anymore.

Following the picnic was Laserforce, I managed to get a couple of games in which I think was worth it, I'm disappointed that we didn't get to play more but time was running short and it seemed to be barely organised chaos there with people everywhere. I'm impressed that anything was organised. My stats rocked on one of the games but sucked on the other. I guess you win and then lose some.

Tonight has been good fun,  I was the first person to use the computer ordering system at AFK after I put money on my account. You can order anything from the menu from your pc provided you have money on your account, you can even buy more hours and everything which is insanely cool. As noted by my joyful giggling at the prospect of almost never having to leave the uber-comfy chairs. I'm sort of jumping between the pc there and my laptop. All good fun.

I'm having a blast and not even drinking. whatever is the world coming to? Another 8 hours or so of gaming and I'll be ready for some hardcore sleeping I do think :)

Tonight I had a quiet night in. I know almost unheard of but still, it's good to have one every now and again so I've been told. I watched the embarassing girly movie I got and upped more pics to my Flickr, it's been a busy week trying to get that up to date and I'm almost there. Haven't even looked at the ones from AFK on 8Bit Day but I'll get there eventually. I've started the Mother's Day ones and I must say I'm impressed with how they turned out. My skills are improving... just need to get more practice. Will be taking photos at the picnic and AFK tomorrow too. Mother's Day photostream starts here. I also put up another few pics between LCA roadtrip and Mother's day.

I've booked my flight to Sydney for my next weekend down there. It's official, I'll be flying down on Friday the 13th (yes yes I know), staying for the weekend and coming home sometime on Monday. I haven't booked the flight back yet because I'm flexible on times and would like to try and catch up with people over the weekend in addition to spending more time catching up and hanging out with the friend I'm staying with.

I should get to bed and try this sleeping thing. I'm so glad I get to indulge in a huge mega sleep-in tomorrow morning. Nowhere to be until after midday. Which probably means I'll finish uploading photos from bed in the morning. I'm pretty tired and just about ready to call it a night. By the looks of it, I'll see a few of you tomorrow at the picnic - it shall be good to see you guys again. Also getting to spend the evening with more cool people :) Totally worth having a quiet night tonight for.

So I decided to finally cosy up with my laptop tonight and update my damn Flickr. I'm only 5 months behind -- yes I know I'm slack. I'm not going to use the 'I've been busy' even though you all know I have been busy. The new photos start here - you just keep going right for all the new stuff. There's pics taken from LCA and also from our explorations while at the National Maritime Museum. Mother's Day pics will go up once the collection from Syd in Jan is up due to the way that Flickr doesn't appear to let you reorder your entire photostream and I haven't got a pro account so I can't create endless sets.

In other news I sold my first cuff last week and this morning I got another commission for one of my pirate cuffs. I've decided to sell my pirate cuffs for $15. If you're interested I have blue one with the original design, and also a red one with seed stitch along the edges, for something different. I have a 'broken heart' cuff which I'm selling for $18 due to large amount of beadwork in it. All cuffs have glass beads with silver.

Also for winter I'm considering making more fingerless mitten things. I made some pretty cool black and white ones in about a week. Not sure how much I'll charge for them. It's cool that I can make some money doing something I love. Not going to start a business or anything overly hardcore, I just like to make cool stuff with my knitting and share the love.

I'm away for 10 days or so with no regular net and it takes me almost 2 days to catch up on just the regular stuff in internet-land, you guys write a LOT. I haven't even started with my RSS feeds but I feel it'll be largely a quick browse over and only reading the stuff that really grabs me. Need to throw more Cory Doctorow podcasts on my iriver and get caught up, I'm still 4 months behind on the Craphound podcast.

It's cold and I'm loving it. I just wish I had more winter clothes in sizes 14-16. Just about all the stuff I have is huge because I was huge last year but aren't any longer. Sadly I'm also without uberpaying job so clothes shopping every week isn't quite a viable option, but I'm doing pretty well. By not shopping all the time I've got disposable income for other stuff - I love having options. Been working a heap of overtime lately which is leaving me feeling somewhat drained but the extra $$ have a habit of coming by when they're most needed so I'm grateful to work and thus have a little more. I'm still liking my Jeopardy role, I hope I can stay there past the end of June.... maybe I'll have a better offer by then and it won't matter. I just don't want to go back to Dispatch Support.

Been talking to lots of people of late.... I think I might be starting to get a few people confused by all the seemingly new and not so new names. Either way, it's a blast having lunch with Dylan, Elspeth, and Erica as well as people from Accenture (too many names to put here). Also got to know somebody else in the past while which has been fun, it's great when you seemingly instantly have stuff in common with people and they're great to hang out with.

Today I finally got to the AFK Cafe for brunch which rocked my world - so going back there on a regular basis. Then hit Bookfest because I'm working tomorrow, along the way ran into a friend and spent the rest of the afternoon there having a laugh at some of the very wrong books around the tables. Called it an afternoon and trooped home. I feel like seeing somebody for dinner or something tonight since Lee-Rae has jetted off but I'm not sure who - nothing too high stress. I guess I could always use the time to catch up on some more eps.

Alright, gone on for long enough. Have a great week and those who get to not work tomorrow, enjoy your long weekend :)
